My Personal Photography Project
I couldn’t really get the shot I was after yesterday, so I tried something else instead. The shot I was trying, just didn’t work 
I may try again today. So this is the shot I ended up with, but the general opinion is lose the lipstick, it doesn’t work. Ah well.. too late now.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking today’s Anything Edible photographs. At last I have managed to find a rectangular glass vase. I’ve been looking for months because I had an idea i wanted to try out.
So, I set up with my rectangular glass vase 3/4′s filled with really cheap but bubbly lemonade, back cloth behind, natural light from the kitchen window and the pieces of fruit suspendedinto the lemonade.
I am really pleased with the lime shot. My other half likes the cherry best. But here are all three of the best shots from today’s playing with lemonade session.
The strange thing is, I’m now thinking what else I can put in lemonade LOL
I thought it was about time I took another ‘foody’ photograph. The fridge and cupboards are almost bare, but we do have some ice cream and chocolate sauce. The sauce is the kind that sets on top of the ice cream. Yummm. Not that I got to taste any. Two piggies in my house got to it before me.
Food photography has been a bit thin on the ground this week. I’m running out of ideas! I seem to keep photographing sweet things too. It’s a good job I feed them to the family LOL
Anyway, Carrot and Orange Cake. I wasn’t sure how to photograph it to try and make it look a bit different to the rest of my photos. This was my attempt.
Nothing too spectacular today. This was an afterthought to be honest. I spent the morning photographing Dandelion seed heads.
Anyway, not really much to be said about an orange is there. It’s orange, and it’s juicy. I hope I managed to capture that
An American friend of mine had no idea what Spotted Dick was when she read that Harry Potter ate it. I’ve teased her for years about it, wound her up about it and generally had good laugh with her. I thought it was about time I put her out of her misery and actually show her what spotted dick looks like. 
I’d had a BLT in mind for a while to photograph, but hadn’t got around to getting it together until now. I wanted to try and capture the different textures in the BLT and opted for a seeded ciabatta to top it off. I think it looks better than normal sliced bread. I can’t decide between the two shots here, so I posted them both. Yes it tasted really yummy after I’d finished photographing it
I’d been wanting to photograph Cheesecake for a while, but just hadn’t got around to it. Today was the day! I knew I needed some colour to enhance the very neutral colours of the cheesecake. I had some frozen summber berry fruits in the freezer so I took some out to thaw. Once thawed there was just enough berry juice to pour a little bit over the top of the fruits and cheesecake to let it spill down the side. I’m happy with this photograph. It turned out the way I saw it in my head, if that makes sense.

Something savoury for a change. I decided today to go with a reflection shot, so I needed something that was simple but would reflect well. I opted for garlic bulbs.
A simple set up. Black background with a reflective surface and one spotlight off to the side of the garlic. I did try one bulb and one clove but decided that three bulbs with one clove seemed to work better aesthetically.

Sadly, today’s shot is just a quick shot and I’m not overly happy with it. I still have this stupid cold and my face is numb on one side and have ear-ache.
Anyway – Treacle Lattice Tart. I didn’t feel like getting my lights and tripod etc out so I took this in the kitchen using the natural light from the window as my light source. I didn’t have any cream so I used creme fraiche which has turned out a slightly odd grey/white colour. I didn’t have any mint or other green leaves to decorate so I used (don’t laugh) some tiny leaves off my honeysuckle plant in the garden LOL. I did throw it away before anyone could eat it
